I have been listening to the podcasts of the webinars that The Keyword Academy have produced lately and I am loving the ideas contained within. I was already happy with the document they produced called your ‘Your First 100 Hours with The Keyword Academy’ which laid out step by step what to do and told you why you were doing it. Also I love the improvements to the tool called streamline which if you use with Postrunner and the other information gives you 45 back links to each of the four articles you work on during the first phase of your time with The Keyword Academy.

Mark has introduced a good system and is refining along the way a way of working that will ensure success by putting in place a regime that will put in the required back links to pull in the traffic. It is all about the visitors and more traffic means more money. To get the traffic you have to have backlinks giving you votes to move your site up in the Google rankings. Mark recently came up with another way of looking at what you have to do to achieve success and it also has merits. It is based on a seven hour session of work. it is more manageable for a new person to look at small chunks of seven hours than it is to look at a 100 hours based marathon.

The Seven Hour Work Week

Well it is more about a seven hour session of things to do that it is to only work for seven hours each week. How much time do you have available and how fast do you want to start seeing some success. The more work you do the more success you will have. It might even be that you can do the work proposed in the seven hour session in five hours. I would just take the time off and put my feet up I would want to start the next seven hour session which for me I could call the Five Hour Session.

What you get from the Session however long it takes you to do it.

You get two articles on your money site and eighteen articles linking back giving 36 links to the site as a whole. That is eighteen links per article or posts on the site. When you have done that you start again with two new keywords and it is the old rinse and repeat thing. here is a step by step.

1. Write an article based on a keyword you have got from the Niche Refinery. It will be about 400 – 500 words long. Post on the Niche site.
2. Re-Write that article three times, each article about 325 – 350 words long. Post each of them in Postrunner. 3. Write another article about 400 – 500 words long to put on the money site with a keyword that is kind of related.

4. You will have two articles on the web site with a total of 12 links going back to the two articles (6 to each page). I would say that it will work the best if you put the links in the re writes so that one goes to the first of the two on the site and one link goes to the second of the two. That is why it is good to have the keywords of the articles related.
5. Write two more articles – Each of these articles will be rewritten three times also, eight more articles to aim links back at the first two on the money site. This is what is recommended for hours five and six of this plan.
6. One more set of four articles again sending links to the first two. All of the articles in steps five and six will be about 325 – 350 words long also.

That is it !

You will have written quite a lot of words and they don’t have to rhyme. That is twenty articles in total and it will have taken you between 5 and 9 hours depending on how fast you write. You should be aiming to complete in seven hours or shorter. it is about 7000 words and I personally think it is doable, especially with using Dragon Dictation software on the iPad.

Why do I think this way is better than the other way?

I have a site that I did just about no back linking for and it gets between 300 and 450 visits per day. I just got lucky as I just wrote the articles and didn’t even think about the keywords. From the data I get from the Google analytics off the site I know which keywords are bringing in some traffic. I can also see what are the Google rankings of those keywords. All I have to do now to boost the number of visitors is to find the keywords that are ranked near the top but not on the front page of the search engines and give them some back links to give then the boost that they need. If I got the visits that I am getting without any back linking then it will not take much work to get it to position one in Google search results. Most people will not be this lucky to have a site like this and using the seven hour plan can help you find the good keywords.

But what does that mean to me?

Do ten or twelve of those seven hour sessions over a period you will see in the data which are the keywords that are working. Each keyword you have used will have 18 links to it. Some of them will be at number one in Google and thats is great. There will be some that are in a zone that you can do something with. Look for keywords that are in the teens to 30 or 40 and write more articles to give them more back links and watch them climb in the rankings. It is a recipe for success and bringing in the money.
